My Favourite Products for Relieving Back Pain

Hey I’m Amanda and I am a personal trainer and group fitness instructor.

I am currently a coach at Orangetheory fitness and I just started my maternity leave but I had been coaching up until 34 weeks. It’s a pretty physical job, and when I’m coaching it’s not like I can just stop and take a break. I have a class to coach.

So I wanted to show you 2 products that have helped a lot with my back and abdominal pain. I got a lot of braxton hicks contractions while working.

I was having regular massages during my 2nd trimester, but as my bump grew it became more challenging to target problem areas.

Also you don’t want your back muscles to be completely relaxed as they have a big job to do right now, which is to support the extra weight of the growing baby. A strong back, glutes and hamstrings are what is going to help prevent back pain during pregnancy so if you’re not already doing exercises to strengthen those areas, I strongly suggest that you start now.

Product 1: Maternity Belt:

I saw this product pop up on my Facebook feed and thought it was funny and kinda stupid. And then a week later my back and belly was hurting and I thought ok well maybe I’ll try that. I found one on Amazon and it was only $30 and for that price I was willing to try it.

I’m having a boy and like the old wives tales he is sitting VERY low. It causes a lot of pain in my low abdomen from so much weight and pressure. Click here for Amazon Link

Product 2: Massage Cups

I love this massage cups! my husband found them online. I use Almond Oil and then place them on the skin, you can either leave them in one spot or you can move them around. The cups are not for everyone, and they can leave a nice purple spot on you. I get my husband to place them on my back and I leave them on for about 10 mins. I find them to really help with the built up tension in my lats and upper trap area. Click here for Amazon Link
